දිවයින පුරා පිහිටි පෞද්ගලික කතෝලික පාසල් සඳහා ලබන සඳුදා (29) දක්වා නිවාඩු ලබාදෙන බව කතෝලික පාඨශාලා සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරී අයිවන් පෙරේරා පියතුමා පැවසීය. රට තුළ පවතින අයහපත් තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් මෙලෙස පාසල් වසා දැමීට තීරණය කළ බව අයිවන් පෙරේරා පියතුමා සඳහන් කළේය. රජයේ පාසල් සඳහා ද අද (22) සහ හෙට (23) දිනයන්හි නිවාඩු ලබාදී ඇති අතර නිවාඩුව තව දුරටත් දිගු කළ යුතු ද යන්න ගැන හෙට (23) දිනයේදී තීරණයක් ගන්නා බව අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍ය අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් මහතා පැවසීය.

All private Catholic schools in the Western Province will be closed until April 29 considering the prevailing situation in country following the series of bomb attacks yesterday, National Director of Catholic Schools Rev. Fr. Ivan Perera told media today. Accordingly, he said 26 schools operating under the Colombo Archbishop including Government-aided private schools like St. Joseph’s College Colombo, St. Peter's College Colombo and Maris Stella College Negombo, would be closed till next Monday (29)

However, the Government decided yesterday that all schools across the island would remain closed until on Wednesday (24) due to the ongoing terror situation. Meanwhile, the Government also decided to close local universities until further notice.
